NEW ZEALAND HALF CROWNS
ON WAY FROM ALI NT. CARGO OF £250,000 VALUE. (By Telegraph—Presa Association.) WELLINGTON, Nqv. 6. The Rt. Hon. J. G. Coates stated to-day that £250,000 worth of new half-crowns were now en mute from the mint. The obverse design was similar to that of English coins, but the “tail” side consisted of armorial bearings from the New Zealand coat .of arms framed in Maori earning, with the inscription “New Zealand halfcrown 1933.” Supplies of other denominations were being: shipped as completed. * and would probably be completed by the end of March.
