The State Department forwarded a sharp note to Greece to-day protesting against the refusal of the courts there t-o errant the extradition of Samuel Insull, the fugitive Chicago utilities magnate, who is under indictment there for defalcation with the collapse in 1932 of his vast holdings. The department’s note held that the court s position was “utterly untenable.’ .it formally denounced the existing Greeeo-American extradition treaty.
