RESERVE BANK OPPOSED
WELLINGTON PUBLIC MEETING. AMENDMENT REFUSED. (By Telegraph—Press Association.) WELLINGTON, Nov. 6. A public meeting of protest against the Reserve Bank Bill filled the Town Hall to-day, and the audience, with a few exceptions, showed' itself opposed to the Government’s proposals. The speakers were Messrs Stronach Paterson, A. R. Atkinson, H. C. Jenkins and R. A. Wright, M.P. A reso lution of protest was carried by a large majority. The chairman, Mr A D. B. Brandon, refused to allow an amendment to be moved.
