DEBT TALK FRUITLESS
AGREEMENT NOT REACHED BRITAIN AND AMERICA. CONVERSATIONS® CONCLUDED. DECLARATION TO BE MADE. (United Press Association—By Elec trio Telegraph Copyright.; WASHINGTON, Nor. 4. The war debt negotiations between President Roosevelt and the British concluded with conversations on Saturday. There is every indication that an* agreement was not reached on the revision of the debts. A final effort to stave off termination of the discussions proved fruitless. Mr Roosevelt went over the whole situation with the British Ambassador and Sir Frederick LeithRoss.
It is learned that there would be no more talks by the President with the British, and a declaration will be made, probably next week. No agreement was reached regarding the payment due on December 15 of £23,400.000 and the balance of £13.200,00 unpaid in June last.
