SAILING CANCELLED
CREW REFUSED TO SIGN ON. DISPUTE ON WAIPAHI. /bv Teiejfrap'n—Press Association.) AUCKLAND, Nov. 4. The sailing of the Union steamei Waipnlii for Westport to-day had to be cancelled owing to inability to get a crew signed on. Yesterday 7 when the steamer was to have been cominis sioned it was fouijd that the seamen would not sign on unless the company included in the complement one mar whom the company 7 was not prepares to accept. As no agreement could be reached the company decided to aban don the trip The Waipahi has been laid up for a considerable time, but recently it war decided to put her back in the islands trade. She was to make the trip to Westport and then return to load for the islands.
