SCOW SINKS AT ANCHOR

CARGO OF BOULDERS.

SHELTER. IN AUCKLAND HARBOUR. (Uy Te.'egr^ptl —Press Association.) AUCKLAND, Nov. 5. The scow Maggie, owned by J. J. Craig, sank in Shoal Bay during the night. None of the crew was aboard at the time. The scow, carrying a load of boulders, put into the bay for shelter. When the crew left in the afternoon the vessel showed no signs of leaking, but this morning it was found she had sunk. At high tide her deck was several feet under water. It is not thought any difficulty will be experienced in raising the scow at low tide once the deck cargo had been lifted on to another vessel. A wooden vessel of 20 tons, the Maggie is 63 feet long.
