POULTRY INDUSTRY BILL
FORM GREATLY MODIFIED. _\o MARKET CONTROL PLAN. (By Tel^er^pti—Press Association.) WELLINGTON, Nov. 3. Tho Poultry Industry Bill, which caused a great controversy last session, was introduced by the Government in the House to-day in a greatly modified form. It will provide facilities for the organisation of the industry, with the registration of owners of 25 birds and over and a sliding scale of fees ranging from 2s 6d. There is no proposal for market control. The Minister of Agriculture is also responsible for a measure enabling commercial tomato gardens to be registered and the payment of fees to be utilised for furthering the interests of tomato growers.
