The Japanese have begun a general withdrawal from the demilitarised scone, and it is expected that a few days hence not a single soldier will remain The movement will release a large number for service elsewhere. The Japanese, however, continue to control the Great Wall, but are allowing Chinese artillery to proceed to Funing, where bandits who are operating have been given a- last chance to surrender.
