The intor-Stato tennis championships of New South Wales ami Victoria. began to-day. In the principal singles H. Hopman (Victoria) defeated V. Me Grab (N.S.W.), 6—3, 4-6, 6-4; J. Crawford (N.S.W.) defeated Holloway (Victoria), 6—l, 6 —3; It. Dunlop (N.S.W.) beat Tonkin (Victoria), 6—3, 6—4.
