Herr Hitler and other Nazi leaders are energetically conducting the election campaign amid the greatest enthusiasm. He .says: “Let nobody remain. at home owing to some petty grievance. All must contribute towards peace at homo and' abroad aim towards Germany’s further rise as a nation."”
The appeal contrasts sharply- with the address of Cardinal Bertram; archbishop of Breslau, expressing -concern for the future of Roman Catholicism under the Nazi regime. The cardinal condemned the piesent custom of devoting the whole of Sunday to political and athletic manifestations.
