SMALLER THAN EXPECTED

New Zealand drawers of horses in the recent Irish Hospitals Sweepstake on the Cambridgeshire Stakes will receive considerably loss than. the £IOOO crenerally expected. The directors of the sweepstake announced in September that 62 horses would be drawn. For each unit of £IOO,OOO there would be 162 prizes, a s follows: First prize £30,000, second £15,000, third £IO,OOO, 59 other horses £593 4s 4d each, and 100 cash prizes of £IOO each. As none of the horses drawn by New Zealanders finished in a place the drawers will each receive £o93_ 4s 4d, plus exchange. It was anticipated that the prize fund would be approximately £2,000,000, which amount would represent 3240 prizes.
