JERUSALEM, Oct. 31. Sniping was continued throughout the night and caused the police to return fire, but there were no casualties. The streets at dawn were found to lie strewn with nails to impede military motor lorries. Owing to the tension every ceremonial Avas dispensed with in connection ivith tliG official opening of the magnificent neAV harbour at Haifa, constructed by British enterprise at a cost of £1,250,000.
