PROTECTING THE PUBLIC
OBJECT OF COMPANIES’ ACT (By Telegraph —Press Association.) WELLINGTON, Oct. 31. The New Zealand Society of Accountants in the course of a statement on the Companies Act, points out, in view of published comment indicating a misunderstanding, that section 14Q relates only to the audit of accounts of companies registered under the Act, and is in no way concerned with the practice of accountancy generally. The proposal is designed to protect the public.
