TOTALISATOR BETTING
HUGE SUM IN BRITAIN. (United Press Association—By Electric Telegraph Copyright, i LONDON, Oct 29. How the totalisator has gripped Britain is shown by the fact that the Racecourse Betting Control Board s turnover for the year has already passed £4,009,000, thus ensuring a record year. It is calculated that fifteen to twenty millions in totalisator bets has already been handled in 1933.
