<*, GOLF AND TENNIS CLUBS IN AUG URAL - MEETINGS (From O”r Own Correspondent.) It lia** been decided to form a ’Golf dub, and Mr Galbraith was elected the first president, and arrangements ire being made to have a nine-hole course planned out. It lias also been decided to form a Tennis Club if satisfactory financial arrangements can be made and a committee was set up for the purpose. The meetings were held in the school and there was a large attendance. SCHOOL SPORTS On Saturday- last the Ararata schoolboys visited Fraser Road and played a cricket match against the local boys. Fraser Road were far too strong foi their opponents and had an easy win, After lunch the teams tried conclusions at football and the visitors turned tin tables on the local hoys. The parents took a keen interest in the games ant there was quite a large attendance o: onlookers. _ On Monday a. meeting of the Frase: Road Cricket Club was held and pre parations made for the coming season The. club is in a. good financial positioi and hopes to have a successful a-ui again this year.
