ELTHAM SPRING SHOW

Described by competent judges as a magnificent array of blooms characteristic of some of the best stock to be seen anywhere in the the daffodil section of the Eltham Horticultural Society’s spring show in the Eltliam Town Hall to-day aroused intense! enthusiasm among growers from all narts of the Taranaki province. There were four major awards in the daffodil section, the Taranaki daffodil open championship (Cooper Cup, valued at 16 guineas) and the international champion, both in the open classes, were won by Mr. L. Lewis, while in the amateur classes the Muir Challenge Cup, valued at 21 guineas, for the Taranaki daffodil championship and the Petrie PerpetluaL Challenge Cup for red-cupped daffodils, were won by Mr. R. Lewis. ‘ -The officials of the society responsible for the general organisation of the show included the president, Mr. R* H. Gover; vice-nresidents Mrs L. A. Gover. Messrs. C. A. Belcher and G. H.
