MAN INJURED PREVIOUSLY

(By Telegraph —Press Association.) AUCKLAND, Sept. 26. A sensational motor smash occurred at Mount Eden early this morning. A two-seater car driven by a man who was wearing evening clothes overturned and ran backwards, then crashed into Hie side of a house, smashing; the windows of one room. The driver was sliglitlv injured. Later lie disappeared and he Is being sought by the police. It is .believed that the same car was involved in another accident a few minutes earlier, when a man was knocked down and injured. The driver, although warned to stop, drove on. A constable who heard the crash of the ear rushed to a taxi, but valuable time was lost because the taxi-driver was sound asleep. The constable then found Robert Done, aged 30, lying stretched oil the roadway, having- been knocked from lii.s cycle. Done’s injuries are not series.
