SHOPS GUTTED BY FIRE
SERIOUS BLAZE AT OPOTIKI
EARLY MORNING OUTBREAK (By Telegraph—Press Association.) OPOTIKI, Sept, 26. At 4 o’clock this morning three shops were gutted by fire. The contents were destroyed. One adjoining shop was damaged and the contents ruined. The premises were in the centre of the town. The origin of the fire is unknown. The occupiers of the premises are Mrs Patterson, Auld and Co., G. Dawson and a Chinaman. The owner is W. Oakes.
