The hearing of the murder charge against George Edward James, an engine driver, aged 57, who was rescued trom drowning at Tliorndon on June 30, the day on which Mrs Cecilia Smith and her seven-year-olcl son were found dead under tragic circumstances, the boy in the harbour and the woman in the flat, was concluded before Mr E. Page, S.M., this morning. James was committed for trial at. the next sitting of the Supreme Court, Wellington.
