MANAIA DEFEATS STRATFORD. INSTONE HOLES IN ONE. (From Our Own Correspondent). A week-end match played on the Manaia golf links between Stratford and Manaia resulted in a- win for Manaia by eight games to five; another game was all square. At the seventh hole, 120 yards. P. In-stone, the Manaia. captain holed out with liiis tee shot. The event was celebrated in the iisual manner by both teams. The visitors were entertained at dinner and afternoon tea. The folowing are the scores. In the second round of the Spring Cup of the Opunake Golf Club F. Hammond defeated J. N. Stephenson. 5 up and 4 to play’ during the ■week-end. In the semi-finals of this event E.
