GENERAL. (From Our Own Correspondent. V Last Wednesday afternoon there was a igood attendanlce !at{ the monthly meetino- of the Anglican Guild. The: Rev. Mr Solomon, of Manaaia, presided. A motion of sympathy was accorded the relatives of the late Mrs A. C. Johnstone. Afternoon tea was provided. Recently a Methodist Ladies’ Guild was formed at Auroa. Miss Hall was elected president and Mrs J. Hooper secretary. Preparations are tbjoing made for a grand fair. JThe Auroa Cricket C]ub has laid down a- clav pitch on Mr Joseph son’s farm. Preparations are well, advanced -for the club’s annual ball. As evidence of the mild and early spring the Joll company factory at Auroa has already reached last season’s highest output, namely 52 cheeses •a- day. This is 18 cheeses a day more than on September 23 last year.
