CAR CAPSIZED INTO DITCH
DR. THACKER A PASSENGER
WIPE SUFFERS BROKEN WRIST.
(By T^grapn—Press Association.) CHRISTCHURCH, Aug. 27. Minor injuries were received by threo passengers when Dr. Thacker’s motorcar, driven by a chauffeur, swerved to avoid a cyclist riding on the road near Kaltuna this inorn'ing and overturned into & ditch filled with water. Dr. Thacker received scratches and suffered' shock, but was able to attend to the others passengers, Mrs Bean, wife of Canon Bean, who received head injuries, and Mrs Thacker, who had a wrilst broken. Mrs Bean, was taken b.v ambulance ;fo the Christchurch public hospital, and- after being treated under an anaesthetic was removed to her ho.ni/. -
