AUSTRALIAN GOLD QUEST
SURVEY FROM THE AIR. EXPEDITION FROM BRITAIN. (Unite;! Press Association—By Electric Telegraph Copyright.) LONDON, Aug. 24. Wirelessly equipped aeroplanes flown by Air Force experts, the latest method of aerial photography, and a large force of motor lorries equipped with wireless will form part of the biggest and best-equipped aerial survey expedition ever organised by Britain, which will shortly go to Australia jn order to execute the most extensive survey of remote Western Australian gold areas yet attempted. The expedition, the organisation of which is under the advice of Admiral Douglas, will survey a widespread area, largely desert, to assist the western mining corporations and geologists to locate now gold formations. The operations, which will probably involve photographing 88,000 square miles, will bo directed by wireless from a base. The Australian Government is invited to make full use of the organisation and er-*>erience gained.
