CAMPAIGN FOR N.Z. LEGION
PRESIDENT AT AUCKLAND. ADDRESS TO 2000 PEOPLE. (By Telegraph—Press Association.) AUCKLAND, Aug. 25. Aims and programmes of the New Zealand Legion were expounded to an audience of about. 2000 people iu the Auckland town hall to-night by the president of the Legion, Dr". R. Campbell Bcgg. Dr. Begg spoke of the necessity' fo-r governmental reform as a basis for measures affecting currency, land and other vital interests of the people. The legion invited the co-operation of pub-lic-spirited men and’ women- in framing policies and examining policy proposals in the manner provided by the legion’s constitution. A hearty vote of thanks was accorded.
