Aims and programmes of the New Zealand Legion were expounded to an audience of about. 2000 people iu the Auckland town hall to-night by the president of the Legion, Dr". R. Campbell Bcgg. Dr. Begg spoke of the necessity' fo-r governmental reform as a basis for measures affecting currency, land and other vital interests of the people. The legion invited the co-operation of pub-lic-spirited men and’ women- in framing policies and examining policy proposals in the manner provided by the legion’s constitution. A hearty vote of thanks was accorded.
