FIGURES FOR, SEVEN MONTHS.

Following are the comparative figures for July of revenue collected by the Customs Department, those for last year being given in parentheses: Customs, £55,991 (£60,705); beer duty, £5314 (£5934); motor spirit tax £14.81 S (£14,223); tyre duty, £393 (£576) ; sales tax, £17,616. For the seven months the figures are: Customs, £501,892 (£410,443): beer duty, £54,336 (£45,025); petrol tax, 120)764 (£115,0-52); tyre duty, £4863 (£5248); swles tax, £85,404. DECREASE AT WELLINGTON. DROP IN ALL LINES. WELLINGTON, Aug. 1. For seven lhonths the figures are: Customs. £1,078.269 (£1.201,422): tyre , tax. £9317 (£11.661); beer, £25,598 (£35,269).
