(From Our Own Correspondent). EUCHRE PARTY. Excellent support lias been accorded the promoters of the series of euchre parties at the Tawhiti Hall, the fifth of which was held on Wednesday. The result will help the funds of the Tennis Clnb at Tawhiti. The winners of the various prizes were: Ladies, Mrs. W. Pokere' and Miss V. Young tied for first prize and on the play-off Mrs Pokere was success, Miss Young taking second prize; men, Mr. F. Fowler 1, Mr. George Pokau 2. After supper dancing was enjoyed, music being supplied by the Maori String Orchestra, and Messrs. H. Thrush and Rowson. Mr. J. Pennell was master of ceremonies. PERSONAL. The sudden death of little Annie Barkia, daughter of Mr and Mrs S. Barkla, was a shock to their many friends, all of whom will feel deep sympathy with the family.
