If is understooiT that an effort will bo made to resume work at. the Linton coal mine to-morrow morning in the hope of bringing to an end the strike which lias lasted for more than six months. A section of unionists haw been anxious for the the strike to end so that, they could resume work, but as the majority are not in favour of resuming o'n the owners’ terms, it has been impossible to make progress. It. is stated that an opportunity will be given to-morrow for such miners as are prepared to accept work to do so.
