OBITUARY
AIR. R. .T. SQUIRE. A resident of Hawera for over fifty vears, the late,Air R. .T. Squire, whose tragically sudden death occurred yesterday, came out from his native town of Bideford in Devon (England) and settled at Hawera shortly after his arrival in the Dominion. ’He took up work as a painter and paperhanger and had been in this business right up to the time of his death. Air Squire was a devoted adherent of the Alcthodist Church and had given long years of service to that church in Hawera, having held office for a number of years. lie was also one of the%oldest members of the Alanchester Unity Lodge, 1.0.0. F., and took a keen interest in the work of the order. -He was married in Hawera fortyeight, years ago and he and Airs .Squire were held in very high esteem by a wide circle of friends.. He is survived by his widow and family of two daughters—Airs R, S. Afaundcr (Wellington) and Airs F. Raker (Hawera) —and two sons—Air At. .1. Squire and Air Tv. R. Squire, both of Hawera. The oldest sot,, Alan, was killed in the fl roa t Wa r.
The funeral will take place to-mor-row (Wednesday), leaving his late residence, High Street, at 2 p.m.
