ROTARIANS ASSEMBLE

DOMINION CONFERENCE: ' GOVERNOR-GENERAL ATTENDS. (By Telegraph—Press Association.) PALMERSTON N., Feb. 27. The eleventh annual conference of the 53rd (New Zealand) District Rotary International opened to-day. Delegates were present from all parts of the Dominion. Rotary International was officially represented by Mr G. F. Birks, of Sj-dney,. the vice-president, and the gathering includes Mr H. Valdef, the retiring District Governor. The delegates were welcomed' by Mr W. G. Black, .president of the Palmerston North Club. Later Lord Bledisloe officially opened the conference. The gathering was entertained to luncheon. A varied programme of activities has been arranged for the duration of the conference, which terminates on Wednesday.
