SYDNEY, Feb. 27, The weather was fine and warm and another big crowd assembled for the resumption of the Test cricket match. Resuming for England with the overnight score of eight wickets for 418 runs Allen soon extended his score of 25 to 31 while Verity' the new man in bad scored two, the tally- then being sight wickets for 426.
At 3.30 it was reported at Hawera that the English players were all out for 454 runs and Australia had lost one wicket for no runs.
WELLINGTON TEAM CHOSEN. WELLINGTON, Feb. 27. The Wellington cricket team to play England on March 21 and 22 is: James (captain), Dempster, Foley, Tindill, Morgan O’Erien, La in as on, Champness, Par sloe, Freeman. .T. Newman ahd .Blundell. The twelfth man will be picked on the morning of the match.
