At 3.30 it was reported at Hawera that the English players were all out for 454 runs and Australia had lost one wicket for no runs.

The Wellington cricket team to play England on March 21 and 22 is: James (captain), Dempster, Foley, Tindill, Morgan O’Erien, La in as on, Champness, Par sloe, Freeman. .T. Newman ahd .Blundell. The twelfth man will be picked on the morning of the match.
