Colonel Brinsmead is to be retired on superannuation from the position of Controller of Civil Aviation. His health, which has not fully recovered ‘from the accident in a ’plane smash at Siam on December 1931, will not permit his resumption of duty. His secession has not yet been decided. It is understood Mr. Johnstone, the present Deputy-Controller, will be promoted.
