The Army authorities have decided to replace the olcl kit hag with, a pa-ck, of which the lower half is detachable and can be left behind when going into battle. The idea is that the new infaTvfcrrtm art must run like <iu <a.ThleTe across bullet-swept zones from cover to cover. The wooer half of the new haversack will include minimum necessities. such as the mess tin, iron ration and cardigan.
