REDUCTION OF PENSIONS

FEDERAL SCALE ADOPTED ENDOWMENT ADJUSTMENT. PROPOSALS FOR BUDGET. (United Press association—By Electric TelegrapLCopyright.) Beecived 11.30 a.m. to-day. SYDNEY, Oct, 13. Widows’ pensions are to he reduced from £1 for a. widow and 10s for a child to 17s 6d and 8s 9d respectively, bringing them into line with the Federa L scale. An extension of its powers l and an increase in the personnel of the Public Service Board, the adjustment of endowment payments and the above reductions of pensions are features of Bills which the Government has introduced in the. Assembly in connection with its Budget proposals.
