Ernest Toms, aged 44, finance 'Officer and Arnold Hore, auditor, of the New Zealand High Commissioner s office were remanded on bail at Bob Street to-day, when they were charged with -stealing £3O on September 8 and £54 on September 14 belonging to the Government. ~ Counsel, in applying for that Toms had been in the Government’s employ for 20 years. -Despite the fact that he was, suspended, he had given all information possible.
