LOCAL AND PERSONAL
The Hawera Pipe Band reel class at' the Winter Show Buildings in Hawera last evening was. well attended and the proceeds, amounting to £3 10s, have been handed to the Hawera Citizens’ Relief Committee. This is the third donation from the reel class.
The Hawera junior hockey team to play Tokaora at Hawera at 1.15 tomorrow will bo. chosen from the following: Murtagh (2), M. Lay, N. Cann, L. Toy, F. Bibby, J. McDonald, J. Carter, J. England, D. Williams, C. Parkinson, C. Fredericks, W. Tulloch and B. Sargenson.
Relief work was allocated in Hawerafor this week on the basis of two days for A class men, two and a-half and three days .respectively for B class men (according to the size of each family) and three and a-half days for C class men. Local bodies assisted by taking ciuotas as follow: Hawera County Council, 42 B class, and 18 O class men • Hawera Borough Council two A class', 15 B and 12 C class men; Hawera Hospital Board one A class, 14 B and two O class men; Te Ngutu Domain Board, one B class man; Hawera Main School committee, four O class men; Tokaora school committee, one B class- man; Normanbv school committee. two B class men; Normanby Town Board, 13 B class and nine C class men
