RELIEF WORK ALLOCATION. The Unemployment Board’s grant for the payment of relief work wages to Hawera unemployed was £75 less than the amount required to give every man bis full quota of work this week. On Saturday evening work was allocated on the basis of one day for A class (single) men. two days for B class married men with or without one child, two and a-hn-lf days for B class married men with two children and three and a-half days for C class men with more than two children. Men were allocated work ns follows: Normanbv Town Board, eight B class and six O class men; Hawera County Council, nine A class and 62 B class men: Jol! Park and ischool (Okaiawa), two B class and two C class men; Hawera Hospital Board, seven B class and four O class men ; Hawera Borough Council, three A class. 22 B and 32 C class men: Tnwhfti and Hawera Mam schools, two O class men each ; mountain. one B class man; Turnturu and Ararata school committees, one C class man each.
