CATHOLIC EUCHRE PARTY (From Our Own Correspondent.) Oil Friday night the weekly series of Catholic euchre patties was continued in St. Patrick’s Hall. The prizes w r ere woni as follow': Ladies’, Miss E. Fever and Mr John Mulholland (substitute player); men’s, Mr M. Dudley and Mr J. Bartle. Miss E. Gaigoai was responsible for the excellent organisation of the function and a dainty supper was served by the. ladies. Non-euchre players present spent the time in playing ping-pong.

PIHAMA. HOCKEY CLUB The Pihama Ladies’ Hockey Club held a very enjoyable dance in. the Pihama Hall on Saturday night. It was well patronised by local residents and by visitors from Opunake. The girls served a very nice supper and Mr J. Hooker supplied the music. The duties of M.C. were also carried out hv Air Hooker. Miss M. Glengarry played extras. A route Carlo dances were won by Aliss M. Conaglen and Mr L. Harvey and the second by Aliss D. AVilcock and Air I. Gilshnan.
