H. Buxton (re-elected); secretary, Air. H .G. Wood (re-elected) ; committee. Alessrs. King, Sandford, Brown, Hughes, Shearin. Blair, Rowlands and Alesdames Benton. Brown and Afiss Duff; auditor. Air. IT. Gave. It was resolved that in. order to effect a. saving in current expenses there should be no caretaker engaged and a vote 'of thanks was accorded Air. Cutely for his work during the past year. A resolution was carried reducing the ha'll charges as follows: £1 for Jong night; lAs till 12 o’clock ; os for supper room and 2s (id for kitchen, with os for use of cookery. For meetings with hall and for special day use the charge will be LAs. The yearly charge for Pipe Band practices was reduced to £3. A verv high tribute of praise was given the ladies who work in the kit: lien at all functions. A series of six euchre parties is to be held, commencing on June 26 in aid of hall funds. Good prizes will be given, including a special for most points. Alessrs. F. Hughes and C. Rowlands donated a. prize each for the opening nigh(. The valuable work of the popular lion, secretary. Air. Wood. one of the “live wires’’ on Auroa, was freely acknowledged by the meeting and a vote made to hint of £3 3s for his untiring services.
