SETTLEMENT WITH WORKERS DISPUTED CITY JOB.

The strike of general labourers who were employed last week on the earthwork of the approaches to the carillon at [Mount Cook ended this afternoon The terms of the settlement provide that married strikers are to resume work on the job (with the men at present employed there) and are to be naid tlie award rate for 5.] days a week. Tiie work is stiil to- remain a relief job and the Unemployment Board is to pay for four days and the board of trustees of the National Art Gallery and Dominion Alusenm for the otherday and a half (without subsidy.) The single men who went on strike are to be given work elsewhere as soon as possible.
