VICTIM LEFT ON ROADSIDE TRUCK DRIVER FINED (By Telegraph—Press Association.) CHRISTCHURCH, March 26. William James Brown Parks was fined £4 and costs by Mr Alosley, S.AI., to-day on a charge of driving a truck in a, dangerous manner. The police alleged that Parks knocked a man down, stopped and put him on the side of the road, and then drove off.

Counsel for Parks said that accused regretted his going on, as he realised that a, serious construction oould be put on it.

The magisrate said his construction was that- Parks had had more drink than was good for him. It was stated that another action
