R. dynes (Home Secretary) announced that he was shortly introducing a Bill to deal with the Sunday opening ol amusements and regularising the practice before the contrary legal decision was given on January 27 last. Members would be left free to vote oil’ the. principle of the Bill, in which there would be a clause providing that no employee w-orlc more Ulinn six-day week. An agreement on this point had been reached between the employers and the trades unions. Replying to an inquiry relating to a strong body of opinion in the country in favour of observiug the sanctity of Sunday, Mr. Clynes said that after hearing every side of the question he had to take into account the great volume of opinion in favour of altering the existing law.
