CREDITORS’ MEETING LAPSES. Creditors in the bankrupt estate ol Albert Pritchard, sawmill hand, of Tt iviri, were to have met at Hawera this afternoon, but tiie meeting lapsed foi want of a quorum. The estimated deficiency is £IS9 Is 4d The total owing to unsecured creditors is £228 ll.s 4d, and £-37 10s to unsecured creditors, the estimated value of securities being £75. The assets are book debts estimated to produce £2. and £37 10s surplus Irani securities in the hands ot secured creditors.

Most of the creditors are in districts outside of Taranaki, those in 'Taranaki being: C. W. Abbot (Manaia) £2 9s. R. C. Baker £7, H. Barraelough £b, Hughson’s Ltd. £5 10s, O. Manley £4, J. Morris £1 10s, Newport Motors £25, E. A. Poole £3, H. \V. Parke* £1 |.os. Cottage Hospital £O, all ot, Opimako. The secured creditor is Dominion Motors, Ltd., Wellington, the security being a hire-purchase agreement in respect of a motor-car. Bankrupt stated that he had been a sawmill labourer at various places during the past three years. He was a married man with two children and his liabilities extended over the past five years. Three of his creditors had obtained judgment against him and he ivas threatened with warrants of commital. His present earnings were at the rate of 16s per day for 11 days each fortnight, subject to weather conditions. Fie had lost a great deal of time owing to broken weather and other causes.
