MAINTENANCE FOR WIFE
ORDER AGAINST PETONE MAN. Before Mr J. H. Salmon, S.M., at the Hawera Magistrate’s Court yesterday afternoon, Sarah Upperton, of Kakarainea, married woman, proceeded against Lloyd Upperton, of Pctojne, car bodybuilder, seeking maintenance. Liability to pay was admitted and it was only the amount that was in dispute. Mr A. Iv. North appeared for complainant and Air J. S. Reid (Petone) for defendant. After hearing evidence from complainant as to her requirements and from defendant as to his earnings (at present £8 a week) and obligations, the magistrate made an order for the payment of £2 10s a week.
