Aliss N. Kelber left Hawera this morning for Christchurch on holiday.

Many friends in Hawera will learn with regret of the death of Mrs Elizabeth Lord, wife of Mr Joseph Lord, of Albion iSrcet. They have been resident here for many years. Mrs Lord is survived by her Husband, two daughters and one sou. The funeral will take place to-morrow, at 2.30 p.m. At last evening’s meeting of the Hawera Borough Council Crs. W. G. Walkley and) G. J. Bayley were reappointed as the council’s representatives on the south committee of the Egmont National Park Board. Cr. W. CL Strange and Cr. Bayley were reappointed as the council’s representatives on the Hawera Tiro Board.

The late Mr Heathooat Livingston, whose death occurred at liis residence, Ohawe Road, yesterday, was predeceased by his wife about 25 years ago, reports the “Star’s” Tokaora correspondent. He was born in the district and was highly esteemed by all who knew him, and the sympathy" of a wide circle of friends will be extended to the bereaved relatives.
