Sir Hilbert Wilkins will be the first man to carry a refrigerator to the Arctic. The explorer stated that instead of worrying about being able to keep warm, he had been forced to find a means to keep cool inside the submarine, which will be accomplished with the aid of an electric refrigerator apparatus. In order to avoid condensation of moisture, which would result if the inside were warmer than the water, lie stated that sub-zero weather would ho maintained inside the vessel, except for the drying chamber, where they could keep warmer for relaxation, and in which moisture absorbing chemicals will he kept.
