SEARCH FOR ASSAILANT

OTTEDBUDN MOOD TRAGEDY.. POLICE SCOURING DISTRICT. (United Pies? Association—By Electric Telegraph Copyright.') LONDON, Jan. S. Throughout the evening special police have been, scouring the desolate moorland in search of the assailant of Miss Evelyn Foster, who was found lying near her blazing motor car on a lonely moor near Otterburn, a few miles from the Scottish border, late last night. It is manifest that the girl made a stern struggle for her honour before being struck on the head. When she recovered consciousness she crawled across the moor for three hours, licking the ice, to quench her thirst and lying on a frozen pond to allay the pain of the burns.
