HAWERA CLUB’S TOURNEY. TEN RINKS COMPETE MASLIN’S CLEAR WIN The Hawera. Bowling Club’s annual rinks tournament was held yesterday, the ten .competing rinks including players' from Opnniake and Patea. Taking all six games, a rinlc skipped by H. S. Masilin won the tourney, Adamson’s rink, with 44 gaina- s and one .loss, being second. A heavy shower somewhat deadened the green ini the morning, but later the conditions were ideal. At the conclusion! of play Mr F. E. Clarke presented the prizes, .and Mr T. H. Sinclair (Opunake) expressed the thanks of the visitors. Morning and 'afternoon tea were served. Results were:—

The Park Bowling Club held its annual pains tourney yesterday, S. Bremord 'being tho winner among tlie skins and T. Math in among the leads. Bremford and Chadwick tied at the end of the day with four wins and ona draw each. Bremford winning on :he .pgregate by three points, scoring 89 to Chadwick’s 86. Alack in had a clear vin in the leads _ with four wins and a lraw to his credit. Although a cold wind blew late in the day the bowlers were favoured with mod conditions, and the greens were ninning well in. spite of earlier rains. Detailed resuflts were: First Bound.
