Pleading guilty to a charge of beiiig intoxicated while in charge of a motor ar, -John James MeCorquodale, a sales manager, 3-5 years of age. was fined £‘ls and costs by Air. Jfi. D. A Tors ley. S.M. Accused’s license was eoncelled tnd he was prohibited from obtaining a new one. for 12 months. Senior-Sergeant O’Grady said that at 5.20 o’clock last evening accused »p- ---. u,reached the intersection of Cashel and . ~!cvoonbo Streets and a- traffic inspector, seeing that -something was wrong. : : limped on the running board and found accused lying back in the seat. He was in an advaced state of intoxication. Accused had been convicted n.i.i fined £25 for a similar offence at Wellington. -
