News from Tampico, in Mexico, states that the city of Alamo, in the State of Vera Cruz, has been destroyed by floods in the river Panicpec. Many casualties are reported, but the number has not been determined. Thousands of cattle have been drowned. The corn crop in the district has been destroyed. In the streets of the city the water rose to a level of 10 feet. The floods are the result of heavy storms during the last 12 days.
