A message from Chicago states that Joe Aiello, one of gangland’s royalty, absorbed 29 machine-gun bullets as he stepped from the courtyard of his apartment. A search showed that several of his enemies 4av in wait in a flat across the street and poured a volley into him with cold-blooded precision. In Aiello’s death “Bugs” Moran has lost one of his principal lieutenants.
